SentryFile Integration with Kyocera HyPAS
Add Walk-UP Document Scanning, Filing, Search and Printing Capabilities to your SentryFile System

Kyocera HyPAS Devices integrated with SentryFile Document Management facilitate walk-up scanning, filing, search and printing capabilites. This
offers improving productivity, distributed scanning, and added user convenience.
Works with any SentryFile Document Management Version 5 Edition
The SentryFile HyPAS Integration will work with SentryFile Trial Edition, Professional, Small Business, Corporate and Enterprise Editions equally well (version 5.16 or later). This
means that all SentryFile systems are fully compatible with HyPAS devices.
How It Works
A small SentryFile application is loaded onto your Kyocera HyPAS enabled MFP (SentryFile.pkg - See "Downloads" section below). This application appears
under the "Application" function of your device as a SentryFile icon. During the first use of the application
you will be prompted for the URL of your SentryFile application (e.g. http://192.168.1.1/SentryFile/) and the
application will connect with your SentryFile server. All security, rights and other configuration data is obtained
from the SentryFile server. No additional configuration is necessary! Once the application is installed, users
can perform two main tasks; searching and printing documents, and, scanning and filing documents.

SentryFile HyPAS Application (Package File)
The SentryFile HyPAS Application Package File must be loaded onto a USB drive and installed on your Kyocera HyPAS device. See instructions below for installation steps.
Installation
- Upgrade to SentryFile 5.16 or later
- See the SentryFile 5.16 Update Announcement for full instructions to upgrade to 5.16. If you are already running SentryFile 5.16 or later you can skip this step.
- Install SentryFile Application on HyPAS Device:
- Download the SentryFile HyPAS Application (SentryFile.pkg) from the url listed in the "Downloads" section above. Save this file to a USB storage device compatible with your HyPAS device.
- On your HyPAS device press the "System Menu" button.

- The System Menu will appear. Locate the item labelled "Application". (Sometimes it appears on page 2 or later of the System Menu.)

- You will be prompted to enter a username and password to access the administrative functions on your machine. If you don't know your credentials then please refer to your HyPAS device documentation.

- You will see a listing of the currently installed HyPAS applications. Click the "Add" button.

- Insert the USB Storage device that you loaded SentryFile.pkg onto in step 2 above into the USB port on the HyPAS device.

- A "SentryFile" item should be listed. Place a "check" to select the application and click "Install".

- You will be returned to the application list. Please select the SentryFile application and choose "Activate".

- Click "Close" to close the Applications list.

- Run HyPAS Application
- On your HyPAS device, press the "Applications" button.

- The SentryFile application should be listed. Select it.

- If this is the first time you have used the application, you will be prompted to enter a username and password to access the administrative functions on your machine. This is NOT your SentryFile username and password. Since this is the first time you have used the application administrative priviledges are required to assign a URL to connect with the SentryFile server. Please enter your HyPAS device credentials. If you don't know your credentials then please refer to your HyPAS device documentation.

- You will be prompted for the "URL" to the SentryFile application. This will be the same url that you use to connect to your SentryFile server from the Web Browser on your computer, except that you must add "/Integration/HyPAS/" to the end of the URL. (e.g. http://192.168.1.1/SentryFile/Integration/HyPAS/)

- You should then see a login page prompting you for your SentryFile username and password. Please sign in as normal.

- The main menu will be displayed allowing you to "Scan A Document" or "Search For A Document". Select the appropriate task and follow instructions on-screen to complete.

- When you have completed using the application, click "Sign Out" and click the "X" in the top left hand corner to close the SentryFile application.
Troubleshooting
If are having trouble, try the following suggestions on your HyPAS MFP:
- WSD Scan must be enabled for scanning documents: WSD
Scan setting can be changed from System Menu > System > Network >
WSD Scan. Note: MFP must be restarted for new WSD Scan setting to take effect.
- HTTP Security must be set to "HTTP or HTTPS": The setting
can be accessed from System Menu > System > Network > Secure Protocol.
After making above changes, power-cycle the MFP and try scanning again.
- No Cabinet or No Access To Cabinets: In order to scan documents
into SentryFile using the HyPAS integration, your user account must have
"Add Document" rights to at least one cabinet otherwise you will receive an
error after you scan a document.
- No Paper In Feeder/Platen When Pressing Scan Icon: You must have a
document in the feeder or on the scanner platen glass before you press the
"Scan" button. If no paper is present and error will occur.
- Latest Firmware: Generally, we recommend using the latest firmware.
If you are having trouble, we recommend that you try upgrading your equipment
to the latest firmware.
- Connection Issues: If you are having difficulty connecting to the
SentryFile application with the URL you are using please try: a) Make sure
there are no firewalls between the HyPAS device and your SentryFile server. You can
test by using a different computer to ensure that the application is accessible. b)
The default connection url is http://192.168.1.1/SentryFile/Integration/HyPAS/. Be sure
to adjust the URL with the actual IP address of your SentryFile server. You can test the URL
by using another computer to verify the connection. Sometimes it may be necessary to
append "default.aspx" to the url. e.g. http://192.168.1.1/SentryFile/Integration/HyPAS/default.aspx.
